As the park prepared for future growth, management recognized the need for sustainable upgrades, including the transition from a 200M bandwidth to a 3G ingress bandwidth. They required high-performance devices that could offer reliable internet today and adapt to future expansions effortlessly.

The Ruijie Reyee AirMetro Solution

To meet these needs, Ruijie Reyee offered its innovative AirMetro solution, perfectly suited for delivering strong, reliable wireless connections across expansive areas like Picos de Europa. The deployment included:

1 x RG-AirMetro 550G-B

1 x RG-ANT13-360 Antenna

5 x RG-AirMetro 460G Bridges

Deployment Details

Given the park's natural environment—with tall, dense trees and high-voltage power lines—a solution was crafted using two bridge groups: Point-to-Point （PTP） and Point-to-Multipoint （PTMP）.

PTP Bridge: Two AirMetro 460G units were deployed between the reception area and the Touristic Apartments, covering a distance of approximately 500 meters.

PTMP Station: One AirMetro 550G-B paired with a 360° antenna broadcasts signals in all directions, expanding coverage to remote areas.

Three CPEs （Customer Premises Equipment） were placed strategically across the park:

1. Near the swimming pool.

2. In the camping area.

3. Midway up the hiking trail, ensuring consistent coverage even in remote, elevated spots.

Partner Feedback

Despite initial concerns about the challenges posed by high-voltage lines and dense trees, the Ruijie Reyee solution exceeded expectations. As Manuel from ALEA Telecomunicaciones remarked:

“The biggest problem was the magnetic field of the high-voltage line and the leafy trees in the way. But we saw the bridges working, and they didn’t disappoint. The omnidirectional antenna allowed us to connect several access points, and the performance has been rock-solid.”

With signal strength reaching an impressive -50dBi, the park's new network offers stable connections, even in previously problematic areas. German tourists, in particular, praised the network for its ability to support remote work without interruptions.
