Backgroud

• MAHSA University, founded in 2005 and upgraded to university status in 2009, is a private medical university in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
• With campus expansion and growing digital learning needs, the university sought a high-performance, campus-wide wireless network to replace its existing infrastructure and support teaching, research, and daily connectivity.

Requirement

• Four IT administrators managed around 800 devices, requiring simplified operations.
• Centralized platform needed for multi-brand device management.
• Reduce deployment and maintenance cost of network devices.
• Quickly locate and resolve network issues reported by students.

Solution

• A total of 133 Ruijie Reyee RG-RAP2260(H) high-density APs were deployed across key teaching and administrative areas, ensuring fast and stable wireless coverage.
• 27 RG-RAP6262 outdoor APs provide comprehensive Wi-Fi coverage in open areas, enabling seamless connectivity across the campus.
• All APs and switches are centrally managed through the Ruijie Cloud, allowing unified monitoring and configuration.
• The existing switches were fully replaced with Ruijie Reyee NBS series switches, enhancing overall network performance.
